Merry Christmas

As my family gets ready to make the big trek from the Southeast to the Midwest, I have been working tirelessly the past couple of weeks to keep up on orders. I am overwhelmed by all of the support, even with many of my shoppers having to pay for shipping this year. You all still showed up and supported Ruffle Couture. On top of that, I am so grateful and re energized by the amazing response of my new community. Virginia's excitement about my business has re lit a spark in me, who wasn't sure if my cold weather products would translate in a climate that (in my opinion) hardly gets cold!
A good friend of mine reminded me last night of my moment of melodrama I was having in the early Fall, full of laments like "What is the point? Does anyone still care? What if everyone is over it and no one even wants to buy these?" She rolled her eyes at me back then and pointed out the irony as I am staying until 1am every night packaging up orders.
That brings me to now. I have a great problem for any retailer -- I am COMPLETELY sold out as of today and will not be in my office between now until after Christmas. If you have already ordered, your package is on its way to you and you will receive it in time for Christmas. I have not a single item to bring and sell for a pop up shop I had planned to have in Austin, MN. Of course I hope I have not disappointed as I have been contacted several times asking for details about it. Being a one-woman show definitely has its limitations, and I wish (as always) that I just had more time to make more product and prepare for a gathering to shop. It is one of the highlights of my year, so this is disappointing for me. Honestly, I feel a little defeated that I can't just push through the next day and pull together as much as I possibly can, but there are gifts to be wrapped and cookies to be made, and children to be loved on. My family is grateful that I am making an intentional shift to focus on them and the reason for the rest of this season.
I will be back in full force after Christmas. I have already started shopping for new fabrics for next year, and might even have something up my sleeve for Spring -- a season I haven't had a new line for for the past couple of years. Yes, they will be lighter ;)
IN THE MEANTIME -- As of today, I have eGift cards available to give as gifts for Christmas. This way, whoever you are shopping for, can pick out their own scarf and many patterns that are currently out of stock will be available after Christmas. It is a win-win!
Thank you again for being so understanding as the shop closes for the holiday season. Merry Christmas to you and your families!
